Install/upgrade firmware, software, plugin and SDK

Here are instructions when you plan upgrade or install all firmware/software/plugin from Organic Motion. You can find the installers, licenses here.

UPDATING THE "UPDATER" PROGRAM

  • Open your current version of Stage Administration.
  • Select Help->Update Server Software
  • Enter your Stage IP Adress under "Server URL."
  • Click Browse and navigate to the file we sent you entitled "OMUpdaterUpdate_v1.10._.____omf". (NOT the OMServerUpdate... file!)
  • Once you have selected the OMUpdaterUpdate file, click "update." In the dialog box above "update", you should see "Update Successful!" At any time you can check what version is on your Vision Processor by :*clicking "Fetch Server Versions." The version in bold is slated to be the active version AFTER REBOOT.
  • Reboot your vision processor.

UPDATING YOUR VISION PROCESSOR TRACKING SOFTWARE

  • Open your current version of Stage Administration.
  • Select Help->Update Server Software
  • Enter your Stage IP Adress under "Server URL."
  • Click Browse and navigate to the file we sent you entitled "OMServerUpdate_v1.10._.____.omf". (NOT the OMUpdaterUpdate... file!).
  • Once you have selected the ServerUpdate file, click "update." In the dialog box above "update", you should see "Update Successful!" At any time you can check what version is on your Vision Processor by clicking :*"Fetch Server Versions." The version in bold is slated to be the active version AFTER REBOOT.
  • Reboot your vision processor again.

UPDATE STAGE ADMINISTRATION

  • For best results, uninstall your old version(s) of Stage Administration.
  • Go to the folder sent over entitled "Installers" and run "OMStageAdminSetup-v1.10._.____.exe"
  • Follow the installation Prompts

UPDATE MOTIONBUILDER PLUGIN (if applicable)

  • Find the plugin uninstaller in your Start Menu within the Organic Motion folder
  • Run the uninstaller and follow prompts.
  • Go to the folder sent over entitled "Installers" and run the appropriate installer, e.g. "OMPluginMB2009-v1.10._.____.exe"
  • Follow the prompts.

UPDATE OMSDK

  • Find the OMSDK uninstaller in your Start Menu within the Organic Motion folder
  • Run the uninstaller and follow prompts.
  • Go to the folder sent over entitled "Installers" and run the appropriate installer, e.g. "OMSDK-v1.10._.____.exe"
  • Follow the prompts.

UPDATE LICENSE

  • Open your new version of Stage Administration.
  • Select File->Advanced.
  • Click Update License (or Get Current License if you'd like to see the license currently installed on the Vision Processor)
  • Browse to the corresponding license file for the Vision Processor you are updating (i.e. SVP-0013) in the License folder entitled "license"
  • Once you have selected the license file, the license has been set, and you should receive confirmation if successful (if not, please email us atsupport@organicmotion.com).
  • Reboot your vision processor again.

If you have trouble to get connected after you install or reinstall stage administrator

  • 90% it's windows firewall issue
  • We need to turn on the necessary setting for stage administration, but not to public.
  • Go to Control panel(Windows) --> System and Security --> Windows Firewall --> Advanced setting (Left side panel)
  • Now a window will pop up. Make sure you are in Inbound Rules. In there, scroll down to OMStageAdmin Application, check the version you installed (From Program tab), and right click on that and select properties.
  • Go to tab Scope, at both local IP address and remote IP address add 192168.1.0/24, then click OK.
  • You might have to do all of them if you have more than one OMStageAdmin Application.
  • Turn on stage administration and see if you can get connected. If you get connection for 10 seconds then drop then means firewall is not completely set.
