The Year-Long Animation Studio is a project structure regularly used at the ETC to train students interested in working in animated film.

The project structure tasks students with building a new animation in a semester based on an existing Pre-Production package. Simultaneously, they are to also come up with their own Pre-Production package for the next project team to use.

The first ETC animation team was Foxhole in 2014.

Animation Studio projects are not limited to the traditional animated format; previous teams have created projects using 360 Video, the CAVE, Projection Mapping, among other new technologies.

The purpose of the Animation side of the ETC Wiki is to allow students on Animation Studio teams to pass down their findings in areas they believe will help future teams.
